Aaron Parker You can go to sleep safe tonight knowing Mike "Master" P is somewhere in the lab producing the traxxx you need to feed the children tonight. You like greasy food? Jake Slazenger put that on your plate. You like making love, real spice time, with romantic beats? Mike P put those big vacuum tubes in your amplifier. Show some respect and drop those pesos. Favorite track: Gelignite.

Tom Rimshot This stuff is really nice. Feels different from the usual Tusken distorto barn burning, but it feels really really good. Hoping this means there is more bubbling away for us to discover as Mike puts it out.

about

New Tusken Raiders material created Jan/Feb/Mar 2021. Combine with the first Housewerk EP to create a new 9-track Tusken Raiders album.

These tracks were made in the first couple of months of 2021. In retrospect they were inspired by my first few years of exposure to electronic club music, the period between ’89 and ’91. I was consuming every bit of music I could, shopping at small import shops in London. I can hear the electro of Model 500, the deep house of Mr. Fingers or the rave energy of Belgian Techno. In “Belm” for instance you might hear the acid of Plus-8 records, the bass pulses of Joey Beltram or the ghostly melodies of early AFX. For Volume 2 (subtitled “Deep Clean”) things went a bit more meditative. Larry Heard’s “Ammnesia” LP was a big influence on me in those days and early bleep and bass records informed the choirs in “Houzz 12” and the stabs in “Jauntasm” - it wasn't all serious in those days. “Perigog” rounds things up; a slower number which hopefully sums up my wistful nostalgia for those days.
