Originally released by Revoke in 2017 on a limited pressing, the 'Pthagonal' EP features four vintage µ-Ziq tracks. 'PC5' was written in Mike's Somerset Avenue studio in 1993 with live keys over a drum machine beat. 'Olé' was written in 1994 during the recording of his Auteurs remixes and features a spanish guitar sound. 'Antiphon' is an older track written in 1992 and recorded at Francis Naughton's studio in Lancaster Avenue, before Mike had a computer of his own. Finally 'Original Phiesope' is the older brother of the track appearing on 'In Pine Effect' and was recorded in '95 above Papillon Pizza on Merton High Street.
small hints of early mu-ziq: cavalier, intrepid, thematic tango n'vectiff here on tricolore. its mostly frost jockeyed full sunken tusken kid bantha spatula: honed-in mean-@ss beast-shit. "A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die." Syd Viscous
Astonishingly good electronic tunes for a tenner and for a good cause. As well as titans 808 State, Autechre, Plaid, B12, etc... the lesser known artists shine. Get and enjoy! Played Quandary Wand at my wedding after Halcyon by Orbital. :) Egg Wizard
